In August of 2014, Trans-West Network Solutions and Mitel, partnered with the Peoria Unified School District to integrate a premises based unified communications system. At the time, their legacy Nortel phone system was outdated and in need of support. Trans-West Network Solutions, one of Mitel’s biggest partners in Arizona, provided the Peoria Unified School District with a reliable solution which guaranteed a 99.999% uptime. Their communication solution was implemented flawlessly even though installation took place during the school year, with no downtime for any of the schools or administrative facilities.

Instead teachers are able to chat with unified messaging resulting in more efficient productivity.
In addition to improved employee productivity, teachers and staff are enjoying the ability to access their corporate directory, email, and video calls all from their desk or remote laptops. This Mitel unified communications integration has also provided the to easily manage their communication system remotely allow the district to save time and money travel. As and added convenience, the Presence Feature allows the user to quickly identify a staff member’s availability for a call.
The Peoria Unified School District is headquartered in Glendale, Arizona, and provides both primary and secondary education.
